Recently Odoo Experts sponsored an Odoo Roadshow in Aruba. It was an enormously successful event with over 120 attendees spanning all different types of companies on the island. We were very proud to be part of the event and we had an amazing time meeting everyone.
At the event there was a panel portion, where the partners were invited on stage to answer questions about Odoo and implementing Odoo and it is clear that not every partner has the same approach to an Odoo implementation. This is why we want to use this blog to highlight three important questions and our answers.
Question 1: Should software change to the customer’s need, or should the customer change to the software?
Our question to you is, why would you not want to change? The world is changing constantly and more rapidly than ever, so standing still is moving backwards. You don’t have to change everything, but you need to be open to evaluating your business processes and changing and adapting where required. Part of the excitement about implementing a new ERP is the chance to improve on processes that may have been stuck for years before. This requires a flexible software solution with a strong vision and Odoo is exactly that.
Question 2: What are your thoughts on a successful implementation strategy or methodology?
We all know that a project is about clear requirements, budget, planning and deadlines. Of course Odoo Experts has a proven successful methodology to manage those parameters. The most important aspects of an ERP project are actually people and processes. The software is just a tool that can help you be more efficient, but we need to get all the people on board to make those improvements. Our mission is to get your people to operate your processes in Odoo as efficiently as possible. Just like you need a driver’s license before operating a car, you need training to operate Odoo. We will make sure that we go live when you are ready. All of this is what we have been doing successfully for the past 11 years.

Question 3: Who is your ideal customer and why?
First of all, Odoo is suitable for companies of all sizes and in every industry. Odoo is a modern ERP system built with a very strong vision. If you believe in this vision, that you should be integrating all your business needs into a single system to gain the most efficiency and keep up with all the latest advancements in both technology and processes, then you are a perfect match for Odoo. On top of that you are open minded and are willing to change to improve the way your business runs. Like one of the great entrepreneurs of our time, Steve Jobs said: “Think differently”.
