What's New in Odoo 19?

Key Changes and Improvements

About to launch, Odoo 19 is packed with innovations that will make your job easier and faster. From smart AI features that take over routine tasks to improvements in sales, inventory and project management, this version is designed to let you spend less time clicking and searching.

In this blog you will read what's new in Odoo 19 and how you can use these features to optimize your processes. We have clearly listed all improvements by main topic so you can quickly see the impact they have on your daily work.

For organizations that will soon be upgrading from an older version, there is one important addition to this overview: for any change that impacts existing processes or habits during an upgrade, we have added a special label:

 Note on upgrade

This allows you to see at a glance where extra attention or preparation is needed.

Interface improvements: working smarter, calmer and safer

Odoo 19 makes daily use much more pleasant. The interface has become calmer, you can navigate more efficiently, and Odoo adapts better to your personal preferences.

Selecting multiple cards at once in Kanban

Do you work with Kanban boards in Project, CRM or Helpdesk, for example? Then you can now select multiple cards at once to perform actions in bulk. This works similar to the list view and saves an enormous amount of clicks. Especially in teams that manage dozens of tasks or requests daily, this saves a lot of time.

Standard collapsed sections for greater visibility

Forms can get quite long if there are many properties or settings. A new feature allows you to set certain sections to be collapsed by default. This keeps the screen clear and you only see the information you need at that moment. That's faster and more convenient.

Odoo remembers your personal preferences

Do you often work with the same display settings or specific buttons within forms? Odoo now remembers your choices for so-called embedded actions. That means you won't have to switch between settings manually as often. Your work environment stays the way you like it best.

Send messages to groups of people based on their roles

In the chat application you can now put colleagues in a role and send them a message in 1 x

Odoo - Send message to anyone with this role

Open a form or summary in a new tab

From now on, you can open any screen in Odoo in a new browser tab. This way you can easily look up information in another screen without interrupting your current work. Useful, for example, if you want to consult a customer card while preparing a quotation.

Additional security through automatic re-authentication

For organizations that work with sensitive data, there is good news: Odoo now supports automatic re-authentication upon inactivity. If a user does nothing for too long, Odoo will ask to log in again. This feature also works in conjunction with multi-factor authentication (MFA), increasing the security of your environment.

Clear and recognizable date display

The date fields have been thoroughly revamped in Odoo 19. You now see readable dates at a glance that better match your language settings. The way date and time formats are chosen has also been improved. This avoids confusion and makes the display more consistent for international teams.

Note on upgrade

Updated rights management of users and groups

In Odoo 19, the management of users and groups has been given a major overhaul. Whereas in previous versions this often looked somewhat cumbersome and technical, it is now clearer, more consistent and more secure.

As an administrator, you now see the groups sorted by hierarchy and order, making the structure in large databases with many groups immediately clear. In addition, a new Users button has been added to the group view. This allows you to see which users belong to a group immediately.

Odoo now ensures that at least one administrator is always present, so you never accidentally find yourself without an administrator.

The biggest step forward is the introduction of Privileges. This gives the interface for groups and permissions a much tighter structure and opens the door to more flexibility in future versions.

Odoo privileges

AI and automation: working smarter with artificial intelligence

Odoo 19 takes automation to the next level. AI additions provide faster processing, better insights and fewer manual actions. These eight enhancements show how AI is increasingly playing a role in everyday work.

Greater insight in lead scoring

In CRM, additional details are now shown in automatic lead scoring. You can see why an opportunity scores high or low and what factors play a role in it. This makes the system more transparent and helps in tracking sales opportunities.

Note on upgrade

Smarter selection of contacts

When creating a lead in the Kanban view, you can now more easily switch between contacts and companies. This prevents assignment errors and speeds up the sales process.

Better prediction of sales outcomes

Odoo now applies predictions of leads won or lost consistently throughout the CRM system. This improves the quality of your sales pipeline and allows you to work with more realistic expectations.
Note on upgrade

AI voice recognition for notes

Within text fields, Odoo can now convert spoken text to written text. This feature is especially useful when adding notes after a customer call or when recording tasks.

Odoo CRM Voice call storage

Generating leads through business cards

Using AI, you can upload a picture of a business card and automatically create a new lead. Odoo recognizes company name, contact and email address and converts it into a CRM record.

Having documents sorted automatically

Using AI, you can now have documents sorted and grouped automatically. A new server action has also been added that lets you invoke AI for specific sorting tasks.

AI agents for documents and calendars

A new AI module is available with simple agents that can summarize and process documents. They can also automatically create appointments in your calendar based on context.

Recording and transcribing conversations

VoIP integration has been expanded to include automatic transcription of phone calls. You can now listen back to a conversation and read the full text. Useful for customer service and sales.

Sales and subscriptions: greater flexibility and simplicity in customer relationships

Odoo 19 offers powerful enhancements for companies working with quotes, sales projects and subscriptions. The focus is on flexibility in sales processes, better communication to customers and more control over document layouts. Here are the seven most important innovations within sales and subscriptions.

Standard formatting for quotations

Quotes in Odoo now look instantly professional thanks to new standard headers and footers. You no longer have to add these manually each time, allowing you to send quotes faster and providing a more consistent look to customers.

Starting projects without a service product

You can now link projects to sales orders without necessarily having a service product associated with them. This makes it possible to start projects more flexibly, for example, based on physical products or internal agreements.

Gift cards visible in sales orders

The loyalty module now also displays gift certificates directly on sales orders. This makes it clear to sellers and customers which vouchers have been used and how they are settled.

More control over the formatting of your sales documents

You can choose whether or not to show sections, subsections and prices on proposals. These new settings give you more control over how you present proposals to customers.

Note on upgrade

Automatic purchase order from sales order via UBL

UBL integration allows you to automatically generate a purchase order as soon as a sales order is created. This speeds up the process and prevents errors in copying data. Especially useful for companies working with electronic invoicing or links to suppliers.
Note on upgrade

Temporarily pause subscription via customer portal

Customers can now temporarily pause their subscription themselves from the portal. Handy if they are on vacation or want to skip a month, for example. After a maximum of one month, they can also reactivate the subscription themselves.
Note for upgrade

Loose purchase possible within subscription

Products that you offer as subscriptions can now also be made available for a one-time purchase. This way you offer your customers more freedom of choice and you can respond to different buying needs without changing your product structure.

Checkout: faster, smarter and more enjoyable work at the checkout

For users of the POS module, much has changed in Odoo 19. The improvements focus on ease of use, speed, visibility of important information and a modern look and feel. From QR codes to dark mode, these are the eight most important innovations.

QR code on the checkout screen

It is now possible to display a QR code on the checkout screen. This can be used, for example, to quickly open the receipt, scan orders or speed up digital payments. Customers and employees both benefit from smoother handling.

Warnings on customers or products

Warnings may appear automatically when selecting certain customers or products. This prevents mistakes when selling products with age restrictions or customers with outstanding items, for example.
Note on upgrade

Improved keyboard shortcuts and faster operations

The configuration of keyboard shortcuts and preset choices (hot keys) has been simplified. Cashiers can therefore work more quickly and new employees are trained more quickly.
Note on upgrade

Real-time stock indication

Instead of theoretical stock, the 'available stock' field is now shown in the checkout screen. This gives a more realistic picture of what can be delivered immediately, especially with multiple warehouses or reservations.
Note on upgrade

Dark mode for checkout

Odoo 19 introduces a full dark mode for the POS system. This looks modern and is more pleasing to the eyes when used in low-light environments, such as hospitality or convenience stores.

Customer list with infinite scrolling

When selecting customers, you can now easily keep scrolling through the customer list. This is especially useful with large customer databases or when used in B2B environments.

Collect your invoices by day

Instead of individual invoices per order, you can now consolidate invoices. Ideal for stores that do many small transactions daily, but only want to send one invoice per customer.

Creating invoices from orders already booked

You can now also create an invoice for already completed checkout orders. This offers more flexibility if customers still want an invoice later or if something needs to be changed after completion.

Super-fast payments in the cash register

In Odoo 19, checkout in the checkout app (POS) has become a lot faster. You can now set up payment methods as fast payments. That means you can complete payments with one click, without going through the standard payment screen first.

For employees in a busy store or restaurant, this is ideal: fewer clicks, less waiting time and a much smoother checkout process. Especially at peak times, you notice the difference, as customers are served faster and throughput goes up.

Inventory, purchasing and production: more control over goods flows

Odoo 19 brings significant improvements to inventory management, manufacturing processes and purchasing logic. Companies working with products, suppliers and assembly benefit from more automation, fewer errors and better insights.

Renewed approach to units and packaging

Odoo 19 radically overhauls the way you work with units of measure (UoM) and packaging. The goal: more simplicity and flexibility.

Until now, units were categorized, such as length or weight. That made it impossible, for example, to buy in units and sell in pounds. In Odoo 19, these categories are gone. You can now freely combine units, which fits much better with practice in companies working with different measurement methods.

In addition, a separate table for packaging has been eliminated. Previously, packaging and unit were separate, with duplicate fields for numbers and packaging units. This often led to confusion and added complexity. In the new approach, you simply create packaging as a unit. Then you link it to a product and you can even attach barcodes to it. For example, you can easily work with individual bottles, sixpacks and boxes as separate units.

Odoo units and packaging

Labels and barcodes revamped

Labels printed with ZPL printers now have an improved layout. This makes them easier to read and more consistent with the layout that companies use in practice.
Note on upgrade

Smarter replenishment with units

The way Odoo handles replenishment quantities has been significantly changed in version 19. Previously, this worked with the multiples field on the replenishment rule. This has been removed and replaced by a new setting: Replenishment Unit of Measure.

If you don’t specify a particular unit, Odoo will automatically use the default unit from the pricelist or from the bill of materials to determine the replenishment quantities.

The advantage? A much more consistent replenishment system that directly aligns with how your suppliers or production processes work. Whether it’s boxes, crates, or packages: Odoo now follows the logic of your suppliers and BoM, instead of relying on a separate field you had to maintain yourself.

Odoo Replenishment
Note on upgrade

Better planning of collection orders

You can now determine much more precisely which operations are part of a batch shipment. This makes managing warehouse teams more efficient, especially with complex order picking.

Turn MTO route on or off with one check mark

The 'Make To Order' route can now be easily activated via a setting. This eliminates the need to create custom routes for standard customization.

Product form adjusted for quantities

The product form has been revamped. The input fields for quantities are grouped more logically so that stock managers make fewer mistakes when entering or changing data.

Adapt product type during the life cycle

You can now change the type of a product (e.g. 'in stock' or 'consumable') even after it is already in use. This provides more flexibility when changing product strategies.
Note on upgrade

Product name and move description combined

For moves, you now see the product name and move description as one line. This provides more clarity on packing slips, lists and warehouse employee screens.
Note on upgrade

Purchasing unit removed

The separate per-product field for purchasing units has been removed and moved to a per-supplier field. This allows separate purchasing units per supplier.
Odoo Purchasing unit by supplier
Note on upgrade

No more blocking in case of missing supplier

Make To Order now does not necessarily require a supplier to be entered. Odoo no longer blocks the process, keeping the flow of goods running more smoothly.
Note on upgrade

Cost per operation visible in production

You can now add cost price estimates for each operation in the production process. This helps in analyzing margins and optimizing production capacity.

Repairs moved to service tracking

The logic for creating a repair has been moved to the service tracking module. This makes it more compatible with other forms of customer service delivery.
Note on upgrade

Quickly scan components with barcodes

On the shop floor, you can now scan parts by their serial or lot number when executing a work order. This speeds up the process and prevents input errors.

Register partial delivery in production

When producing larger quantities, you can now record partial production. This reduces the need for back orders and makes your inventory management more accurate.

Product images via Barcode Lookup

Instead of Google, Odoo now retrieves product images via barcodelookup.com. This gives better and more consistent results when automatically recognizing items.

Specific rights for product management

A separate user group has been added for product management. This allows you to assign rights to employees who manage products, without giving them access to other management modules.
Note on upgrade

Project and planning and help desk: smarter organization and better planning

Odoo 19 offers new capabilities for project management and scheduling. From better task management to automatic role assignment and smart links to other modules, these six innovations make planning and organizing much easier.

New access option for projects

In Odoo 19, a fourth visibility setting has been added for projects. With this option, you can share a project with only selected internal users and specific portal users, without making it visible to everyone in your organization.

That means you can now decide much more precisely who gets access — ideal for sensitive projects or situations where you only want to involve a few colleagues or customers. It gives you more control and prevents projects from being unnecessarily accessible to the whole organization.

Odoo access option for projects

Create projects based on templates

Setting up projects often takes time because you have to go through the same settings over and over again. In Odoo 19, this is a thing of the past: you create a project template with the desired structure, tasks and settings and use that as a base. New projects are immediately properly set up and ready to use.

Odoo create template-based projects

Schedule tasks in the calendar

In the calendar view, you can now easily drag and drop tasks to specific times. In the sidebar, you can see tasks that do not yet have a scheduled time, so you can schedule them quickly. This gives project managers more control over capacity and staffing.

Odoo schedule tasks in calendar

Automatically assign tasks based on role

Project tasks can be automatically assigned to team members based on their role within the project. As a result, tasks are distributed faster and the schedule more closely matches team responsibilities.

Subtasks more clearly visible

For tasks with subtasks, there is now a button to explicitly display subtasks. This allows you to see at a glance which actions are still open within a main task. This makes progress and collaboration clearer.

Schedule events in time slots

The event module now supports working with time slots. This makes it possible, for example, to split workshops, webinars or trade shows into sessions for which participants can register by slot.

GPS tracking for Field Service

For field service tasks, you can now use geo-tracking. This automatically records location and timekeeping, increasing the reliability of timekeeping.

Documents decoupled from projects

Linking between documents and projects has been simplified. Instead of fixed project folders, you now work with general folders, which allows for more flexible document management and less complex links.
Note on upgrade

Assign helpdesk tickets

Automatically assign help desk tickets based on labels ensures that reports go directly to the right employee or team. This eliminates the need to manually sort tickets first, which saves time and reduces customer response time. In addition, questions are picked up faster by someone with the right expertise, increasing the quality of service.

Replacements of products directly from Helpdesk

In Odoo 19, the help desk app has gotten smarter with a new option for replacements. You can set up per help desk team to have a replacement feature available. As a result, a Replace button appears in a ticket, allowing you to immediately create a replacement order.

Website and e-commerce: smarter content and better SEO

Odoo 19 makes building a strong online presence easier and more powerful. Enhancements focus on search engine optimization, smart content generation and better integrations with external platforms.

Sales per packaging unit

With Odoo 19, you manage multiple sales packages per product. In the webshop, the customer immediately sees whether he wants to order a piece, a bundle or a larger package. This makes online sales more flexible and customer-friendly.

Enhanced SEO tools

The interface for SEO has been revamped. You can now more easily add alt texts to images and fix broken links. This helps your website rank higher in search engines and prevents errors that degrade the user experience.

Google Merchant Center integration

You can now easily publish your products in Google Merchant Center. This makes it easier to be visible in Google Shopping, allowing you to attract more traffic to your shop.

Updated product pages

The structure of product pages has been redesigned. There is more focus on components such as images, features and call-to-action buttons. The result is a modern and conversion-oriented product view.
Note on upgrade

New layouts for appointment widgets

The appointment module has two new views: a list view and an image-based layout. These allow you to present appointments more visually appealing to your customers.

AI for website texts

A new AI link is available to generate pages automatically. The AI agent can write texts based on the content of your website, allowing you to build good landing pages faster.

AI chat on your website

In addition to AI for content, an AI-powered live chat is now available. You can integrate this directly into your website and use it to automatically help visitors or redirect them to the right page.

Bookings via Google Maps

Odoo 19 makes it even easier to reach customers thanks to the new Google Reserve integration. Businesses that work with appointments, such as restaurants, hairdressers or wellness centers, can now make their reservations available directly through Google Maps.

That means that a customer who looks up your business on Google Maps can immediately book an appointment without having to open your website. The appointments arrive neatly in your Odoo calendar, so everything remains centrally managed.

The link works through Odoo's IAP server, which acts as an intermediate layer between Google and your Odoo environment. With it, availabilities, bookings and changes are automatically synchronized.

Bookkeeping and accounting: more control, better year-end closing

Odoo 19 brings significant innovations to financial professionals. The focus is on clarity, security and better alignment with regulatory requirements.

New inventory valuation in Odoo 19

Odoo 19 introduces a completely revamped inventory valuation system. The goal is to make accounting simpler and more consistent, without the technical complexity of the past.

Previously, valuations were processed through separate incoming stock and outgoing stock accounts, and many details were in the so-called stock valuation layers. This often led to confusion, especially in the case of error corrections or reversals. In the new approach, everything revolves around the documents themselves: the invoice, the order or, as a last resort, the manual valuation. With this, the stock valuation links directly to the financial records.

Important innovations for users:

  • Real-time valuation is now done on invoices and bills, not on deliveries or receipts. This provides more clarity in linking to accounting.
  • Automatic closing reports help manage goods delivered but not yet invoiced and goods received for which there is not yet an invoice.
  • Backdating and error handling have been improved: the system reports inconsistencies such as rounding differences and lets you correct them.
  • The value of stock is no longer recalculated over its entire history, but based on the latest documents (e.g., for FIFO).

For businesses, this means less complexity, fewer errors and a more reliable link to accounting.
Note on upgrading

New way of bank wiretapping

In Odoo 19, bank statement processing has been completely revamped. Where the old screen was often cluttered and complicated, there is now a modern kanban view that allows bank lines to be handled much more intuitively.

Each bank line is displayed as a card that you can unfold for more details. From there, you can perform actions directly, such as linking to an invoice, creating an entry or adjusting a line. This makes the whole process feel faster and clearer.

There has also been a lot of cleaning up behind the scenes. All kinds of settings that often caused confusion in practice have been removed. Odoo now makes smarter suggestions for linking and debiting, so that you have to set less yourself. The result: less chance of errors and more focus on handling your bank mutations.

Note on upgrade

Odoo Bank Amortization

Smarter automatic lettering rules

Bank probing in Odoo 19 has gotten another step smarter. In fact, the system now learns from your previous choices. As soon as you assign an account to a bank line, Odoo automatically looks at the last five similar lines. Does it see a clear pattern there, such as the same description, partner or amounts? Then Odoo itself creates a new debit line.

The great thing is that these rules continue to adapt. If you do later choose a different general ledger account for the same label, Odoo deletes the old rule and adapts to your new workflow.

Templates by diary

You can now set a default invoice template per journal. This ensures more consistent output per posting type and prevents you from having to manually choose the correct layout each time.
Note on upgrade

Write off draft entries

It is now also possible to annotate draft entries. This makes it easier for external accountants and auditors to already check an interim balance and correct it where necessary.

Year end better prepared

When performing a year-end closing, Odoo now performs additional checks. Think of missing roundings or outstanding entries. This way, you can be sure that your records are correct before final closing.

Renewed system for automatic transfers

The automatic transfer system has been completely revamped, with an improved interface and more flexibility. You can now set up and manage periodic bookings more easily.

Better processing of tax positions

The logic around tax positions has been rewritten. Instead of manually mapping VAT codes, Odoo now automatically searches for the correct VAT settings based on the booking type.

Note on upgrade

Improved audit trail

The audit trail has been expanded and now meets German GoBD requirements. This feature is enabled by default, contributing to transparency and fiscal certainty.

New way to manage VAT returns and closings

Odoo 19 introduces a new VAT return process: a central place to plan and track tax returns and closings. Deadlines are created automatically, you see the status per return, and joint returns in a tax unit are bundled into one process.

For users, this means more overview and automatic checks that detect errors.

Note on upgrade

Creating audit reports in the knowledge module

There is a new link between accounting and knowledge management. You can now create professional audit reports in the knowledge module, based on accounting data. Useful for accountants and controllers.

Odoo Audit Trail in knowledge base

Clear status for inactive accounts

The 'expired' field has been replaced with a default active/inactive status. This allows you to filter more quickly for active general ledger accounts and avoid posting errors.

Payment reminders contact expires

When tracking open items, Odoo now uses the billing address by default, instead of a separate contact for payment reminders. This simplifies the management of accounts receivable.
Note on upgrade

Improved Dutch VAT reporting

In Odoo 19, the Dutch VAT report has been refreshed and made clearer. Whereas the old report was sometimes cluttered and difficult to read, the new version is more compact and clear. This has been done by displaying a the basis amount and the VAT amount on one line.

Marketing and communications: mail smarter, follow up better

Odoo 19 innovates the way you communicate internally and externally. From better filters and dynamic audience selection to more control over emails and automated activities.

More control over chatbot settings

Chatbot settings have been expanded. You can now control when and how the chatbot is engaged, and what responses it gives. This way, you make the chat experience more personal and better tailored to your target audience.

Manage activities more easily

The filters and actions for activities have been completely revamped. You can search, group and follow up more easily. Think of callback requests, follow-up emails or internal reminders.

Email reply everyone and forward

The way you can reply or forward messages is now more like a regular e-mail client, so you can see more quickly who is being e-mailed and who is in cc or bcc.

Note on upgrade

Fewer automatic followers

Odoo no longer automatically adds followers to every record. This prevents unnecessary notifications and keeps your inbox more organized.

Note on upgrade

Set up your own outgoing mail server

Users can now set up their own personal outgoing mail server. This is useful for consultants or remote users who want to send emails with their own sender address.

Note on upgrade

Activities completely revamped

The activity overview has been significantly updated, with new views, more buttons and improved links to other modules. As a result, you work faster and see at a glance what needs to be done.

Dynamic targeting in mail campaigns

You can now target mail campaigns to dynamic audiences based on current filters. This allows you to respond faster to behavior and current events, without creating new lists each time.

WhatsApp for payment reminders

In the follow-up system for outstanding invoices, WhatsApp is now also available as a communication tool. So you can approach customers directly through the app, in addition to email or letter.

HR and human resources: manage more easily and recruit better

Odoo 19 makes workforce management a little easier again. The improvements are small but effective, providing clearer processes and fewer manual operations.

New structure for employment contracts

In Odoo 19, the way contracts work has changed significantly. Contracts are no longer separate records but are now stored as versions directly in the employee profile. Every change, such as a new salary or a different position, is recorded as a new version. This automatically creates a clear timeline with the entire contract history.

For HR, this means more clarity and less hassle. You can see at a glance how someone has developed within the organization.

Hours registration visible in the portal

Employee time records are now more visible to external users through the portal. This is useful for customers who want to check hours or for freelancers who want to see their time records.
Note on upgrade

Talent pool replaces candidate list

In de wervingsmodule is het traditionele kandidatenoverzicht vervangen door een moderne talentpool. Je krijgt beter inzicht in beschikbare profielen, ook als ze (nog) niet direct op een functie hebben gesolliciteerd.

Note on upgrade

Declarations without reports

The classic "expense reports" are gone. If no manager is set up, expenses are automatically approved and booked. This saves time for small teams and organizations with little hierarchical approval.
Note on upgrade

ESG and sustainability: mandatory reporting made easy

With the advent of new sustainability legislation such as the European CSRD, Odoo is responding smartly. The new ESG module helps you collect, manage and report on environmental, social and governance data.

Complete ESG reporting in one app

Odoo is introducing a separate module for ESG reporting. In it, you keep track of your carbon emissions, the social measures you take and how your organization is governed. The structure aligns with the requirements of the CSRD, making it easier for you to meet your reporting obligations.

Equity App: Manage Shares, Options, and Cap Tables

With the new Equity app in Odoo 19, managing your company’s ownership structure becomes much easier. The app lets you track shares, stock options, and maintain a clear cap table — all directly inside Odoo.

You can register shareholders, issue new shares, or manage option grants without having to rely on external spreadsheets. Everything stays centralized, consistent, and always up to date.

Documents, knowledge and e-sign: working smarter with information

Odoo 19 makes it easier to manage documents and share knowledge within your organization. From templates to custom storage, these four improvements will help you work faster and more organized.

Add items to template gallery

Users can now add their own articles to the gallery of templates in the knowledge app. This makes it easier to save and reuse standard texts, such as for manuals or internal procedures.

Document settings simplified

The configuration of documents has been made clearer. Fewer individual settings, more default options. This allows teams to start managing files digitally faster.

Saving attachments in 'My Drive'

You can now save an attachment to your personal Drive folder directly from a chat message or task. That way you can keep important documents handy without losing them in message attachments.

Note on upgrade

Smarter documents with Odoo Sign

In Odoo 19, you can now have fields automatically populated in Odoo Sign directly from any other model. Think of customer data, order numbers or amounts: as soon as you send a document for signing, these fields are filled in automatically.

This prevents errors caused by manual overwriting, speeds up the process and ensures that your documents are always complete and correct. Useful for contracts, tenders and any situation where speed and accuracy count.

Smarter documents with Odoo Sign

Other improvements: small steps, big impact

Some of the innovations in Odoo 19 do not fit directly into one category, but they are very valuable. Especially for users working with spreadsheets, this release offers useful enhancements.

Smarter spreadsheet fields

You can now link columns in spreadsheets via "list chaining. That means you can make cross-references between related fields in a spreadsheet, making analysis more powerful and flexible.

Pivot tables directly from Odoo models

It is now possible to create a pivot table directly from an Odoo model, without first setting up a separate pivot table view. This saves time and makes spreadsheets more accessible to non-technical users.

New funnel graph for Odoo data

A new chart type has been added to the spreadsheets: the funnel chart. With this you can, for example, visualize the steps in a sales funnel or process flow.

New geo-maps in spreadsheets

In Odoo 19, you can now add geo-maps to spreadsheets. This lets you display data directly on a world map, with countries automatically colored in based on your figures. Useful for visualizing, for example, sales by country or inventory by region.

Odoo geo-maps in spreadsheets

Full dynamic API documentation

For developers, there is a handy addition in Odoo 19: add /doc to the API URL and you automatically get complete, dynamic documentation of the Odoo API. No more need for separate reference.

With Odoo 19, you get a version that is not only more modern and faster, but also thinks smarter with you. Many small improvements make a big difference in your daily work.
